Visual Field Perimetry
The visual field is the portion of your surroundings that you can see at any one time. This automated test will show whether you have a loss of vision anywhere in your visual field. The pattern of vision loss will help the doctor diagnose the cause. Abnormal results may be due to disease or central nervous system disorders, such as tumors that can compress or damage parts of the brain that associate with vision.
A perimetry test measures all areas of your eyesight, including your side, or peripheral vision. This test can help find patterns of vision loss, and detect certain types of eye disease.
